Call T To Order Board Management Meeting for North Carolina Society Colonial Dames XVII Cenetury

August 12 and 13 are the days! Have you made your Board of Management reservations?  Make your plans today. We want to see each of you. The Call is attached. Chapter Presidents, please make sure that you send this information to all of your members.

During this Board of Management meeting, each officer and chairman will discuss the office/committee. You might say this will be a "forum" or to borrow another phrase a "boot camp" where we all learn about our Society. Please make your plans to attend. Make a list of questions. This meeting, as all State meetings are, is open to all members of the North Carolina Society Colonial Dames 17th Century. Come and join us for an informative and fun filled time. Memorial Day Ceremony on May 30th

The Richard H. Stewart, Jr. American Legion Post 543's Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday (5/30) at the Veterans Memorial near SJ Town Hall on NC 211.  The ceremony will include patriotic pieces performed by soloist Lois Moore.  The Post 543 Honor Guard will present colors and a memorial wreath will be laid, followed by the playing of "Taps."  Chaplain Randy Cash will be the guest speaker.  Click here for additional details.  Seating will be provided but parking is limited (carpooling is strongly encouraged). Lord Craven Colonial Dames 17th Century May 21st Meeting

Everyone who attended the May 21, 2016 Lord Craven meeting enjoyed Sara Whitford's presentation. She is the author of historical fiction. Her book , "The Smuggler's Gambit is the first book in the Adam Fletcher Adventure Series of historical fiction novels. Sara commented on speaking at the chapter's meeting on her Facebook page. Read below:
"I enjoyed the great honor today of speaking o the Lord Craven Chapter of the National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century in Wilmington today. What a warm welcome I received from such a delightful group of ladies ! It was a blessing to meet them all and to have and have the opportunity to share with them some of the history behind my novels."

President Ruth-Anne Bolz displayed some of the awards that the Lord Craven members received this year.

Sara Whitford will be the Guest Speaker at the May 21, 2016 Meeting





The May 21, 2016 Lord Craven meeting will be held at the Carolina BBQ on College Avenue in Wilmington, NC at 11:30. Sara Whitford is our speaker.
