American Legion Post 543 and
the St James Fire Department will jointly host a remembrance ceremony in honor
of the 15th anniversary of 9/11. The ceremony will be held at the St James
Community Center at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2017.
The remembrance ceremony is a moving and appropriate way to remember the tragedy that struck our nation on September 11, 2001. After Post 543 Honor Guard presents the Colors, Brunswick County's own Coastal Harmonizers will sing the National Anthem. Jeremy Shrader will lend his voice in song. Members of the St James Fire Department will ring the ceremonial fire bell and Taps will be sounded in honor of the victims who perished. The Coastal Harmonizers will then offer another appropriate song.
