The Lord Craven Chapter of Colonial Dames met on Saturday, September 16 at 11:00am to visit the home of General Thomas Brown, an American Revolution Patriot and Hero. It was built over two hundred years ago on the bank of the Cape Fear River. A member of the Carver's Creek Methodist Church, the site of the beginning of the Methodism in Bladen County was a tour guide for those who attended. Linda Rivenbark provided the lunch that was served that day. She brought fried chicken, potato and broccoli salads, biscuits and cakes. This was a real southern meal. Thank you Pat Tucker for the great photos.
