Today is National POW/MIA Day

On this day, the third Friday in September, we observe National POW/MIA day to honor those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. According to the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, there are currently 82,468 personnel missing from past conflicts, with the great majority (73,077) missing from WWII.  Perhaps if we are so fortunate as to enjoy a happy hour today, we can say a prayer for those Americans who remain unaccounted for, "you are not forgotten".
