The next Lord Craven Colonial Dames meeting will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 11:00am. Details are below.
Hope everyone can make it to the meeting.  Should be fun!

Pat Gooding
President

Come enjoy something special in Bladen County--- Take a field trip to Bladen County where you will visit the home of General Thomas Brown, an American Revolution Patriot and Hero.  It was built over 200 hundred years ago on the bank of the Cape Fear River.  As you travel down Hwy. 87, you will pass Carver's Creek Methodist Church, the site of the beginning of Methodism in Bladen County. Arrangements are in the works for a church member to be on site to give a brief history.
Have you ever ridden on an honest to goodness 2-vehicle ferry? Just a mile down the road, you can do just that.

A lunch will be provided at a cost of $12.00 per person.
If you have guests who may be interested in attending the meeting, please feel free to invite them. Husbands may even enjoy the trip!
With questions or to RSVP, please call 910-234-0979 or 910-647-0572.

If using your GPS,  the address is 120 Bermuda Dr.  Council, NC
Directions--
Take Hwy. 87 W. approx. 30 miles to Ellwell Ferry Rd.  Turn right at Oakland Plantation sign.  Plantation is on left.
