Our junior Lord Craven member, Joli LeBrun, is the team nurse in a volunteer group from Life Springs Church in Sanford, N.C. led by the pastor Micah Tyler. Despite the risks of disease and personal safety, the team of nine volunteers had to pay for their mission. Thanks to the help of sponsors, they were able to leave on July 4th to travel to Malava, Kenya on July 4 where they led a teacher training conference, visit the local church to share the gospel and to spend four days helping children at an orphanage. Joli has been administering vaccines and serves as the entertainment planner for the group. The group arrived safely at Wilmingtion National airport on July 13, 2025.
The National Society North Carolina Colonial Dames 17th Century Lord Craven Chapter was organized December 30, 1961 in Wilmington, NC. Many of our programs highlight colonial heritage, research, and records. Contact President Cindy Sellers at cindysellers@ec.rr.com or blog manager Phyllis Wilson at par4wilson@gmail.com
